Speaker: Sally Lieber, Candidate for State Senate

Sally Lieber has a long list of accomplishments:  She served in the State Assembly from 2002 to 2008. She represented the 22nd Assembly District.  She served as Speaker pro Tempore, only the third woman to hold this leadership position since 1849. She served on Assembly Committees on the Judiciary, Revenue and Taxation, Local Government, and Health and Insurance. 

Sally is committed to improving the health of California?s environment and fostering sustainability.  She authored clean air legislation to remove tons of cancer-causing particulate matter from California?s air, secured funding for energy-efficient schools, and led efforts to invest in clean technology.  The Sierra Club and the League of Conservation Voters have recognized her leadership on environmental issues.

Sally has served as a Councilwoman and Mayor of the City of Mountain View.  She is currently an advisor to the San Francisco Bay Restoration Agency and recently worked on Attorney General Kamela Harris? Transition Team, on issues of women?s rehabilitation and mental health.
